Here are a few things you may not know about Tyne Valley.
1. The dock, located near the village office, is owned by the village and available for use. Whether it's for fishing, bird watching, or just sitting and enjoying nature - it's there for your enjoyment. Feel free to park at the parking lot by the village office/library and walk down the grass beside the parking lot to access.
2. Tyne Valley has a beautiful walking trail that starts behind Britannia hall and ends by the health center (or you can loop around and come out the same way you came). You can also loop around the whole village by starting at the village centre, heading up to Britannia Hall, exit out the health centre and head back down the hill. It's a beautiful walk, and takes about 30-45 minutes to walk the loop. Signs are getting installed this spring!
3. Tyne Valley has a beautiful park across from the Britannia Hall which also has a walking track, multi purpose pad, pump track, zip lines and swing set & climbing structure. It's a lovely place to take the kids for an afternoon.
Spring is the perfect time to get out and enjoy everything the village has to offer. Happy Spring!
